What A Party!

This past Thursday we held our “Spring Classic” Grand Opening Party & Open House, and by all accounts the event was a huge success! We started out at Belgianwerkx, where we were joined by industry reps from Cannondale, Ridley, Focus, Shimano & Bell/Giro Sports. The turnout was impressive to say the least! Our parking lot was full and the shop was jammed with attendees who were able to chat with the reps, view our beautiful bikes and watch a demo of our Retul Motion Capture Fit system. Todd Schmidt from RidleyUSA commented that he was amazed by the size of the crowd, as well as their passion & knowledge. Speaking of Todd, he brought along the 2014 editions of the Ridley X-Ride & X-Night Cyclocross bikes. And he’s letting us keep them for a couple of weeks! As a matter of fact, the X-Night that is currently displayed at our store IS THE ONLY ONE IN NORTH AMERICA! Come see it now, we can take orders for summer delivery.

Following the Open House, we moved up to the Highland House where the party kicked into high gear. The Fat Tire & Spotted Cows were flowing, and the great people at the HH provided a wonderful buffet. The reps came through with an awesome supply of swag, which we made the party-goers earn by answering Belgium and bike related trivia questions. Some of the answers were correct, and some of the answers were hilarious. Finally, the evening came to a close with the Grand Opening Prize giveaway. These prizes included a Retul Fit session, a custom-built set of wheels and a Cannondale jersey signed by racing phenom Peter Sagan. But while getting free stuff is always nice, I think all would agree that the night was more about fun, laughter and hanging out with friends, both old and new. All of us at Belgianwerkx feel blessed to be doing something we love, while sharing our passion for bikes with you. Thanks to all who attended, and for those who couldn’t make it, stay tuned. More parties to follow!
