Cheesehead Roubaix 2017 – Braving the Elements

Cheesehead Roubaix 2017 – Braving the Elements

With a high temperature of 41 degrees, chilly 10-20pmh winds from the northeast, and light rain falling most of the day, the 2017 Cheesehead Roubaix had the worst weather in it’s 8 year history.  The last few years, roughly 300 people have shown up to ride; this year only about 40 started and about 10 finished the entire route.  It’s been a rough roubaix season needless to say.

Huge props to Dave Hanrahan for putting the event together year after year. Even with low attendance, the ride raised $300 for the Newburg Fire Department.
